The car is a genuine polo g40 1991 on a j reg, black and in very very good condition it has had the original supercharger removed and now runs turbo this is becoming a very popular conversion now

the kit is princibly a pitstop developments kit but being a vw engine and race prep specialist i did the conversion myself.

The car and inside:

The car is fully stripped out everything removed including dash carpets trim panels rear seats door cars everything!

Then a custom mount was made for clocks and custom switch panel there is oil pressure oil temp and boost gauge all in pods

Inside is a fire extinquiser and battery located behing driver seat with fia cut off switch custom mounted behind petrol flap, the petrol tank is a custom made alloy 12gl tank mounted in the boot

The spare wheel well have been removed and plated with a alloy sheet

There are two 7.3kg alcanteara bucket seats and 4 point harnesses

The engine:

1275cc

Fully ported polished and flowed head (very heavily worked)

uprated camshaft

51mm inlet flowed ect..

300cc injectors

kkk03 turbo

uprated bailey acuator

anti lag fuel chip and custom mapping

Aquamist water/methonol injection

Custom large front mount intercooler

25 row 235mm oil cooler!!! (huge)

Golf mk2 8v larger rad

custom alloy header tank

custom catch tank

boost pressure switch

silcone boost pipes

Everything is either chrome plated or polished stunning engine to look at

The actual horsepower is not known as i have not dyno'd it but estimated 210bhp this is because it runs 1.5bar and has run 1.7bar (but obvioulsy not recommended) of boost.

Wheels 8x13 rear 7x13 front smoors (fully mirror polished with 24ct gold bolts and valves)

Unfortunatly i broke the orginal gearbox (no suprise there) and it currently has a mk4 polo diesel gearbox this is only tempory, the diesel gearbox is such a short ratio box the car has a top speed of 115mph at about 8600rpm!! not good.

It went to santa pod earlier on in the year and ran 14.4 (slip to prove) with this shite gearbox and incorrect mapping.

I now have aquired a original g40 gearbox ready to either fit a diff and rebuilt for peice of mind or fit straight away.

I also have a set of slicks 13" for drag use.

The point of this car has been built for one main purpose and that is drag racing the car is road legal and can be driven fine on the roads but a bit scary lol

i have provisionally sold the turbo kit

and wheels but until cash changes hands i will take details so if for any reason the original person pulls i can offer to the next person fair as that
