Is taht a standard exhaust on there now? Looks smart!

Can't say I'm too keen on the DTM style

its just a tip! cost me a fiver

DTMs are aweful! wouldnt go for that but your car i guess, i like the tip lol

I'm liking the idea of painting the badges, tell me how it works out

DTM's are indeed awful!!! Horrible looking exhaust...i can imagie the tip looking good from here, but a bit closer up...em probably not. Also cant imaine painting the badge backing red looking any good at all.

Sorry, but just think the immediate plans are crap and you will spoil a really really tidy looking motor right there.

Good luck though

remove the badge completely then remove the rubber backing and refit the badge, and it shows the colour of the paint through with out the faded rubber insert, and noo need to paint then and its a free mod!

my mate did it on his silver 6n and it came out well!

To fit the clear indicators...

1. Open the bonnet and look next to the wing. there will be a small bolt you need to undo (7mm socket)

2. Then place one hand in front of the unit, one hand behind it (in the engine bay) and push it outwards. It may be a little stiff so dont be afraid to give it a good push! When it comes out you need to unclip the wiring loom (dead easy - just push the spring clips together)

3. Now when you put new lights in there is 2 prongs on the new light and 2 holes for the prongs to locate into when you slide the indicator in.

4. Then give it a good push back in an tighten up the nut (not too tight or you will crack the plastic!)

Think thats right... If you need any help just post... :)

you dont help to fit them, open your bonnet and ....

beat me to it ;)

thanks man! but unfortunately the wiring plug for my new indicators dosent fit perfectly into the plug from the batery! wtf do i do? use a file??

I think I had this problem, can you take the plugs from the old orange indicators..? and swap them with the ones that dont fit... thats what i did. :)

yeh but the bulbs in that one are clear, so i went to halfords and they gave me amber ones but they didint fit either. The guy said the thing I've got has an off centered fit.

I can either file the plug down (which means irriverably changing a vw part of the car).

Or the guy said i can have the clear bulbs dipped in some stuff to make it amber. I think ill go for that.

how would that work mate?

as on the back of the chrome badge is a couple of bung things that hold it to the plastic backing? do these need completely fileing smooth? and when thats done what do you fasten it back to the car with? as the space to put silicon on isent that big then?
