I was thinking inbetween the two TCA's on the rear.. Kinda in the same position as that bracket under the CAT?

Tightens the front up alot. You will notice a difference as the polo suspension set up is possibly the worst ever!

how can it tighten the front end up tho? they way it mounts, where it mounts, how it mounts, i can think of much better upgrades, i cant see that making any differences at all

you can however get one from wiechers with a cut out for the exhaust and this improves clearance greatly.

It reduces the amout of flex of the body between the two bottom arm mounting points and therefore keeping the suspension geometry more stable during cornering. As the shell is not very rigid at all, the bracing contributes alot.

And yes of course there are better modifications but theres always going to be something better!

well until you end up with the equivalant of an F1 car with no restrictions!

in theory it should, but that item in particular will do jack jones, its mounted at just one side of the track control arm, infact i will go so far as to say that is a usless item, chocolate ash tray

you have just proved you "quite clearly" dont know shit all either, a frame, bolted to one side of a track control arm, is gunna work

You better get on the phone to the likes of porsche and ferrari and tell them that youv'e actually discovered chassis rigidity does not affect vehicle handling whatsover and they are wasting their time.

On the early polos the position of the TCA mounting points on the body move relative to each other due to twisting and bending of the body during cornerning!...... FACT!

Moving of the points where TCA's mount affects suspension geometry! ....FACT

Changing the suspension geometry during cornering has detrimental affects on the vehicles handling! ... FACT

Mounting a brace between these two points means that for the position of the TCA mounting points to move they have to first bend or twist this brace!... FACT

So for the same amount of force exerted the body due to cornering , if an extra piece of tubular section steel has to be subject to bending or torsion the points at either end of this 'lower strut brace' will move less relative to each other! FACT

Now how does this 'lower strut brace' not have any affect whatsoever to the dynamics of the vehicle??????

but you seem to be missing the whole point while you babble your overpowering knowledge

put the book down, take your glasses off, i will make it simpler with no words to confuse you

that strutt brace (that meaning the original one in the first post), will do very little if not nothing on a polo mk3, as it is mounted on one side of the track control arm

so just to follow up, I'm not saying no brace works, or that porsche and ferrari are wrong in what they do

Its really hard to communicate on here sometimes, i mean read back my posts i did make it all very clear?

The one in the first post is the same as the one that greg posted a photo of it fitted to his car!
