Need help with no claims advice!!!

Featured Replies

I am 18 and am currently on my mums policy as a named driver, but it is my car.

I have a 1.4 6n s reg and if i was to go on my own policy the cheapest quote i could find was around 2k. (I live in Epsom prices are shit here).

My insurance as a named driver cost me 860 quid. So I'm just wondering because i am a named driver when i get my 1 years no claims how much it will go down by? Because i have heard stories that it hardly goes down at all because the insurance companies know that you are just being sneaky, if this is the case i am royaly fucked.

Help?

There are only a few companies that allow an additional named driver to have a NCB on another person's policy.

For that, in my sister's case at least, she had to pay an extra few hundred pounds to actually have it as part of the policy anyway.

Check the insurance, phone them and ask them come renewal time to make sure that YOU have been awarded a NCB otherwise it could get nasty with your new policy should any claim occur.
