tried to order the late mk2 rocker gasket...the 3 center bolt fixing one

gsf are giving me the runaround saying its the one with 8 bolts around the edge and that its a "fits all" gasket

anyone got a pic of the proper gasket so i can tell em they're lying cnuts

I've only just replaced mine.

It has 8 holes around it that corrispond to 8 pegs on the block.

They must think the holes are for bolts, unless there talking about the casket underneath the rocker unit as i think thats bolted on to the rest of the block by 8 bolts. but as I've had no personal need to take the rocker unit off yet i cant tell you any further.

right so they are capable of selling me the right part...this is for your mk3 right with the 3 center bolts?

But they are right, unfourtunately :lol: it has eight holes for the "Nipples" that hold the gasket in place.

this is for the hydraulic heads e.g. MH, 3F, G40 etc.

Go tell them!

yep engine AAU (i think), i dipped mine in oil before putting it on, my old one had gone on the arch by the dizzy cap and was leaking down that side.

That's the kiddy. The one for the earlier engines is a flat one with thicker edges and bigger holes.
