spent today and yesterday sanding painting flatting and polishing my mirrors ready to go on the car.....

they used to look like this...

carbon is such a trick material

Can't help asking: It sort of looks to me like the mirror units are on the wrong arms, like you've got both on the wrong sides? Most of the F1 style mirrors like that have the arm bolted in at the short part of the mirrir unit, with the longer part sticking out.

yeah, they are on the wrong way

the dont stick out as far this way and are a bit mor protected from being clipped

they look easy for some scum to pinch! fill the alan key holes with chemical metal for sucurity!!!

thanks guys, the car lives on my drive away from scum... there isnt a way to secure them at all, they com apart so many ways......

i just avoid parking in horrible places!

carbon work looks great.. cant believe how good u got at it!!! kinda like the raw carbon in 1st photo. ;)

i didnt make the mirrors, they are carbon fibre ones i bought , i laqured and polished them, and paint all the other bits...
