Basically 18 months ago my friend borrowed my old car and went through a red light camera, by accident.

He fucked me over and ignored me more-or-less straight away to get away from the problem (he wasn't insured it tuned out) and we haven't spoke since.

I declared him as the named driver within the legal 28 days, so legally I did all what I needed.

That was roughly 18 months ago, I've not heard anything since sending the declaration off. Should I follow it up with the police or just leave it? i don't want to drag anything up that may have been forgotten and cause problems for me and my old friend.

You've done all requestted of you, and it's a heck of a long time ago, so I wouldn't worry.

Yeah, thats what I'm thinking... From doing a tad of research I believe they have 6 months from the date of the NIP to prosecute. After that its thier fault.
