At the mo i'm running an amp for rear speakers but will be putting in another amp for subs.

all wiring is thick enough to get another amp on since they are both fairly low powered (400w each)

i was wondering if the remote cable can be split to go to both amps?

i want to split near the head unit as i want to put the subs on a switch so i can knock them off when i have rear passengers.

just split it anywhere as long as your only running a few things off it, it'll be fine i can't use mine anymore as it doesn't have enough power to turn my amps on you can use a relay or just a switch if thats the case

for the time being i might just run a link to the existing amp until i'm ready to pull the carpet up again

you can do it of a single wire but you are better off running a new remote wire coz the more u split a wire the less power u get through it jus put a bullet connector on and run another wire its long i know but its more benificial to u go halfords they got sum decent wire for it

not true for the amount of current a remote out cable carries you can split it near the amps and run it to all the amps the only time you have issues is when running lots of amps the turn on signal won't be strong enough no matter where it's split.

e.g. the 10 amps i run won't turn on so u make a relay or just use a switch
