31,000 mile Mk3 polo derby

Featured Replies

Hi, just aquired a mk3 polo derby, its had one owner from new, a elderly couple. Its been serviced every year at a local vw garage, and has every stamp. Its metalic grey in colour, and its totaly original, nothing messed with, etc. Oh and its got 31,000 on the clock. I'm selling it as I hav'nt the room, and have a price in mind, just want to get some other views of what its worth??

Yer, its in good nick, ill upload some pics

any tax or test?

mk3 loons ain't exactly the most sort after polo shape tbh, but if the condition is as you say some one may be interested in it to do a conversion in it for some thing a little different.

Tax ends in a month, but is disability tax, so its no good anyway, mot has just ran out, but it will fly through the mot, theres nothing wrong with the car at all. I will tax it and mot it before it sells.........

fucking hell that looks clean as fuck!

Prices please people.....

with 12 months mot i'd say around £500-600 as its a clean low miler, but as i said before its the least sort after polo, mk3 loon with (i'm guessing) an spi lump in it, so its never gonna make silly money.

no, want more..........

Car, mot, tax, £999

you can try for that but at the end of the day to any one outside the scene its just an 18 year old polo. and to any body inside the scene its the under powered ugly duckling of the polo family.

£700 tops I think, i agree with modest mouse its an old polo outside of the scene, and a quirky project in the scene. That spi lump wouldnt be in there long if someone in the scene bought it id guess.

Why bother asking for valuations if you already had a stupid price in mind?

If someone is willing to pay for it then its worth every penny............

could do it less, just minus the tax and mot from it.

well its going for sale without mot and tax, £850

a grand would make sense if it was pimped to the max but seeing as its standard. u can probs buy a 2nd or 3rd mk5 polo for that. looks nice tho

Just checking, thats all. Dont need coments like that, its worth every penny to somone whos willing to pay for it.

Would it be a stupid price if you were selling it??

to be honest mate, it looks lush and i would have one just for the sake of having one but i think someone would def buy it for 700 :) let us know how you do

Fair enough, but I think you'll struggle to sell it for £850 with no MOT or tax. Maybe with MOT you might get that much.

Thats the type of positive comments welcome. Dont mind people having an oppinion, thats why I posted this up in the first place. But shady coments like that last chap who posted makes forums crap. Ill put it up in the cars for sale section later on.

Its not a rip off, its in very good nick, no rust ect. If I tried to sell it wrecked, 30 owners, 200,000 miles etc at the same price then yes, that would be a rip off. The only thing not going for it its thats its a derby, but to someone its a gem.

To be honest mate you'll be hard pushed to sell that for £850 no T&T.

I don't buy into this low milage hype. That loon has only done an average of 1800 miles a year or 35 miles a week.

In my opinion thats not enough to keep a car going strong, who knows how many parts are seized up due to lack of use?

And 200,000 miles on these Polos is nothing! If you keep them maintained they will last forever.

But again it is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I personally wouldn't as you could get a tidy GT coupe full T&T for that kind of money!

i love it mate love that colour get it up on pistonheads no point asking on here always get people with a bad attitude posting crap! good luck it does look clean bet it looks better in person :-D

Its a nice mint car but its a mk3 loon and there are only a few people who want a mk3 loon! if it was a mk3 coupe then it would sell for what your asking but i think its worth 600quid max!

Id rather buy low milage anyday of the week, less miles = less wear and tear!!!

Yer, will try there too, yer, the colour is the cars best point. I'm selling some schmidts on here as well, was thinging about putting them on it and using it as a daily, would look cool as.....

or could do a deal with both, wheels and car.

I think your a bit of a DICK m8!

why come on the forum and ask how much is it worth when you all ready have a price in mind witch is well over priced take our advice or dont fucking argue with us when we no MORE THAN U DO!
