31,000 mile Mk3 polo derby

Featured Replies

Last time I checked it was spelled Know, second was just looking for other peoples estimates, its a Forum at the end of the day. Think this is why I left the polo club, full of little boys that make empty threats, that use abusive language to get there point across. Cant believe you get away with comments like that on here, other forums just send you packing, modders please take note!!

As for NOING more then me, yer, OK mate :-D

Most of you on here are sound and have given good advice, I might have to lower the cars price to sell, its my car at the end of the day, and its up to me what i do with it, but all advice is taken on board. But theres always one or two that just ruin it for everyone else.

I think you need to calm down ;)

A lot of people on here have seen a lot of Polo's come and go both inside and outside the scene, they honestly do know what they're talking about.

I'm a big loon fan and would very much like a mk3, but nothing without T&T is worth anymore than £400 to me, as it's a project. If you can get it through a test and stick 6 months on it it will sell, probably not for £999 but around £6-700 in the right place. Find the right person and you might get £850 with no T&T but honestly... it's a 15 year old undesirable small hatchback turned into a quirky saloon so I think it's unlikely.

Probably best if you dismount and listen to what people on here are saying... might help you sell it. Alternatively, ignore it.

:D

Not trying to make me feel bigger then you, just aking for other peoples views to estimate what the cars worth, as its my car i'll try and get the most for it, its a gem in my eyes. The prices stated by other people have been taken on board, I have not gone f'ing and jeff'ing thats to low, etc, its just a discussion, however your language is wrong, and the fact you keep on using language like that just goes to show why forums get a bad name.

correct word to use aswel mate would be spelt not spelled you gooon, so grow up and stop trying to pick at something.

i agree with alot of people who have commented, the car is low milage, but its 18+years old, but its only worth as much as someone is willing to pay, but why ask how much people think it is worth, if you have your own price set already?

no point coming on a forum, with only '15' post's trying to be a big man, and give people crap, you asked for peoples input, if you cannot take negative comments aswell as positive comments its simple dont f**king ask.

O.K, your opion is taken on board, and I've never said the people on here dont know what there talking about. I'm not getting worked up, once it sell for whatever price it goes for, thats it, end. Ill t&t it no probs, but its added to the price overall.

For a proper valuation you'd need to take the following into account:

Have you had the plastic arch and sill trims off to look underneath? They like to rot there.

What's the battery tray like?

Head gasket will probably need doing soon too.

Has the cam belt been done recently?

What's the petrol tank like?

if they get a bad name mate, dont come on here, go away. Go and look at you 'gem', and keep dreaming of prices.

he has a point!! have you checked these???

i reckon you are best bet is 2 stick some tax and test on it and it would sell alot easier at the end of the day + if its mint like u say then with sum tax and test it should sell ok. + u will get the maximum 4 it cars without tax and test dont sell well unless ther stupidly cheap

looks in real good nick tho good luck.

12 posts because I stopped coming on here about three years ago, if someone wants to stat getting nasty to be by swearing, then dont I have the right to have a pop back.

as for negative comments, I'm not bothered, I'm sure I've already said that. Just no need for swearing............

handbags ladies! okay basically this guy is only trying to sell a car and peoples opinions of the car do matter but being harsh doesnt help. i reckon if someone did this up, it would win at a vdub show, slamm it and big arches etc.. but it is standard. and maybee people like standard things. purity is what volkswagen and ferdinand porsche are all about. dont forget the roots.

Thanks mate, yer, will t&t it, and it will go for what it goes for.

could you expand on the words 'pop back' please.

just read this and its a very good point and ther all unrelated to how many miles its done defo worth a check

End of the day its a 16-year-old polo with a 31k 1.3 spi lump in it. It averages 1900miles a year, which is nothing, and doesnt appear to have any features that make it any different from another mk3, except the boot. The same car, as a coupe, might sell for around £500.

Is a boot really worth £350-400 on a car without any tax or test? I doubt you paid more than £300 for the car yourself.

FFS! who gives a cock. bottom line is if some monkey wants to pay a fortune for it so be it. if it doesnt sell put some tax and test on and see how it does. check the above mentioned by toby and if all is well someone will get a decent car. don't be a hungry idiot though be reasonable and youll get a decent price. good luck :-D
