My New Ride

Featured Replies

Hi People,

Ever since i started driving, about a year and a half ago i dreamed of owning a GT squareback.

I had been bought a 1.0 mk3 squareback as my first car and i loved it! But after about a year of driving i wanted something with a bit more power.

Since then i have been loooking for a GT, but unfortunaly as i live in kent, GT's dont come up for sale very often.

So on sunday 23rd after looking in the for sale section on here, i saw that Pettsy had a squareback GT for sale.

The next day after speaking with him on the phone, my dad and i drove the 250 miles up to Derbyshire to pick it up!

So here it is after a quick clean today:

It needs a few little things done, but its fine for my needs!

and a few pics with my brothers mk2:

Yeah its all about the squares!

:D I sold out and bought a 'loon (well, two if you count the cordoba) but I still love good ol' GT squares! 8-)

Looking good!! I've seen this car quite a bit and I was always wondering if the front end would respond to a bit of polish, and now I need wonder no more! :)

Before anything else I would say get some new number plates on it - its the first thing I do to any car I buy and it makes a whole load of difference!

Let us know how you get on :D
