Cut Springs

Featured Replies

As it says, I know thay are not the best way to lower a car, they have been on the car for about 6-months, cut.

I was gonna chuck em in my shed but there is already loads of stuff in there so I'm just gonna give them away. I thought it would be ideal for someone on here who is on a bit of a budget and would like to lower their car. Because the springs are cut they do clunk a bit at the front due to less compression, but i did read a feature in Practical performance mag that if you grind the bottom of the spring flat it grips better on the platform and stops it from moving about.

If anyone is interested i can post a pic of what the stance looked like, I'd preferbly like collection from the berkshire area.

A picture might help. What height were the springs before they were cut? -40mm? Also, what car are they from, and how many coils were removed?

^^^ All info that might help a sale :)

Cheers for that skatty, I seem to keep doin that. The springs came off 16v 6n but I guess they'll fit most 6n models, they were a 40mm drop with 1 coil taken off the back and front, sorry for lack of description in 1st post
