40% thats nearly all the TAX on fuel, where will they TAX to make up for it!!!

i'm on a pritty shit wage with house rent, water rates, electric and gas bills to pay, i also have 2 kids to feed and i have to run a car so i can get to work.

if you had the same issues as that then i know you wouldn't be saying that shit, we can't all live with the rents on a big ass farm a mr k

These petitions to reduce fuel prices have been around for years and they've never made shit bit of difference yet, also the price of oil has just gone up again this week so expect a rise in petrol prices soon

Agreed, I haven't even got the kids and a house to myself, but fuel prices are totally crippling me at the minute.

I've thrown out pretty much any chance of starting my own business because of what fuel costs, likewise I've pretty much stopped driving the cars and gone over to the transit van running on PVO, it doesn't run that well on it and I know it's not doing it much good, but what else can I do?

lol you can make as many of these petitions as you want, they're not going to pay attention. It needs someone to stand up on behalf of the motorists in this country and make a stand. Motorists are most likely the primary income for the government, what with speed cameras, toll roads, parking fines etc. It's a joke

my dad has moved out to Bahrain and petrol is cheaper than water over there, he filled up his car the other day 45 litres for £12!!!! over here that's £50, and that's if you're not using the nice stuff.

petrol rant over, it needs to come down tho, i miss the 90p a litre days

I'm an old fart of 29 but when I started driving; petrol was around 65ppl, with it now fast approaching double that....I'm feeling it!!!!

Same again with other people; with increases on the general cost of living morgage, food, electric, rates etc I'm having to think about when I drive the Caddy about as it is a little thirsty.

I drive around 500/600 miles a week in the old Mk5 GT Tdi & have seen even the weekly spend on fuel in that rise about £12 of late.......NAH i'm not worried about that....I have money to burn!!

But the goverment need easy money fast!!!!! Car ownership has gone through the roof, most people NEED a car these days, so what's the easiest way to get some extra £'s???

A whole nation having a mass mutany is the only way to reduce fuel prices IMHO!!!!

The government don't want us driving cars so much, and they are willing to do anything to try and discourage the use of cars (well apart from improve the the public transport system so that it's at a marginally useable state).

I can't see them reducing the price of fuel drastically even IF they were to get immense public pressure.

thats a lie, they want us to believe they want us to stop driving, but they know that most of us can't. so they raise the price of owning/driving a car, using the excuse that its for the benefit of the world (green taxes and shit), but knowing that the majority of us have to bite the bullet and pay the extra price no matter what it is, making them a shit load more money and us poor as fuck.

we are the most highly taxed country in the world, but what do we have to show for it?? i'd happily pay for things like health care and shit like in America if it meant cheaper fuel and living costs (i mean how many times have i ever used an ambulance?? not once, and i still have to pay for my medicines). plus it might stop every free loading nice person and his dog wanting to come here, and before any pc loving pricks wanna start... how many country's have these ''refugees'' passed though before risking life and limb trying to get in to this one?
