I'm gonna be upgrading the speakers in g/f's '00 mk4 polo later and was looking for assistance regarding removing the door card - all the guides i have found are for cars with electric windows and unfortunately my g/f's polo has manual winders....

can anyone tell me what the procedure is to remove the handles in order to remove the door card???

you shouldnt have to take the door card off. the grill just pops out if you put a knife or something like that and pry it out. then just unscrew the speakers.

ah sweet, i haven't had a chance to check it out yet so i just assumed i would have to take the whole door cards off

is it the same story if i have to install adapters for the speakers tho???

not entirely sure on that one, but a mk4 6n will take a 6 1/2" without an adapter tho. not sure if its the same story for a 6n2 if youve got the facelifted model tho.
