erm I doubt the 1.6 is a lower group than the 1.4 mate it has about 75 bhp and 1.4s have about 65. 1.4 16v have 100.

I think get the smallest engine you can!

Sometimes it works like that.

Get the best you can afford to buy and pay for comfortably, that way you will be less likely to regret buying it just because the car is slow or badly specced.

If the 1.4 is a 16v and the 1.6 is an 8v I'm sure the 1.6 will be cheaper on insurance.

1.4 16vs are 75 bhp unless they're sport which is 100 bhp

I'm pretty sure this is correct, if not correct me

depends if you are taking about a mk4 or mk5 polo. mk4 16v are all 100bhp.

The 1.4 16v is a group 10 insurance :o (mk4 6n)

But i got mine at 17 and it is a really nice car. i'd say if you can afford it go for it.

the 1.4 6n2 (like 2000 to 2002 or somthing like that) are 75bhp and are 16v.

whilst pre 2000 (the 6n) was 100bhp
