anyone know where i can find the laws about cars and specifically what mod is legal etc etc...

i.e: how much you can tint headlights, tail light and windows etc

think its light smoke up front and abit darker at hte back, not sure though, thats what a friend has, n a company did if for him so they would have followed the law i think...well i hope lol

You need to find the relevant Statutory Instruments concerning the mod. Search here.

Windows - you can't tint your windscreen or front windows AT ALL (since Jan '04). You can tint your rear windows to your heart's desire (those behind the B pillar).

The law (Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations) states that for any vehicle where the windows were tinted before this date, the windows must let at least 75% of light through the windscreen and at least 70% through the front side windows. Therefore if you have a car built after 2004 you'll be getting slapped with a £30 fine and possibly 3 points if you have tints in the mentioned area. If it was registered before Jan 04 then you still risk being pulled and warned etc.

Headlights - must be white or yellow, blue lights again will get you slapped with a fine.

I'm not sure about tail lights, basically drivers need to be able to see that you are inicating in bright sunlight. MOT testers will know I'm sure. Definitely don't tint reverse lights red, they won't pass if they glow pink!
