They're warning you.

Like people who flash their brakes when there are police waiting round the corner, letting you know.

:lol::lol::lol:

they are flashing you to warn you of whats up ahead!!!

i always flash when i know a speed camera is around, and you'll find people also do it coming the opposite way!

although i can see where you are coming, if someone behind me was flashing i might think they wanted me to speed up or something....

Never heard the expression 'dont look a gift horse in the mouth'!?

its actually against the law to warn people of the police and speed camera's ,

because your preventing the course of justice

I apprieciate it a lot when people warn me. Even if I know its there. At least they're half decent people obviously.

yes I've heard that near me, if people coming the opposite way to the speed camera are seen flashing, there is a cop car waiting about half a mile away to pull them over.....

"sorry officer i saw my friend by the side of the road who i flashed" or

"sorry officer, i caught my stalk and flashed the lights" or

"sorry officer.....

then its up to them if they believe you or not and how pursuasive you can be

I've done it to some freinds before who think theve actualy bin caught by the camera thats probily what some people are trying to do... quite funny seeing ther expression lol

I do this when nob heads over take me on a 30 pretty funny if you are close enough with bright headlights.

i have strobe lights in my headlights, whenever a tosspot has overtaken me an has been driving like a knob, if i'm behind them as they go through a speed camera...*FLASH FLASH*...love pulling up next to them at the next traffic lights n looking at them shitting themselves

so any way...i warn and imitate :D

You sure it wan't the speed camera flashing at you??!?!

:ninja:

what i dont understand are the people you overtake who are doing about 45/50 in a national speedlimit carriageway or something, you overtake them at 70 leaving them loads of room and they STILL flash you lol

Or like what happened to me today - overtook an 80+ yr old man driving a new fester at 5mph (seriously!!), beeped the horn, and he got horny back!! why not put that energy into using the fooking accelerator. Or stay at home if you can't drive..........

If someone's nice enough to warn you that there's a speed trap ahead, be grateful, slow down, and avoid the 3 points. Don't moan. They've just done you a favour.

^^^^^^^^^^

man has a point

it is nice to think that motorists are sticking up for each other, seeing as the government dont etc, but that's a whole other thread lol

I just hate the lane huggers, who, on dual carriageways, seem to think that pulling out on you in the fast lane and then doing 2mph faster than the vehicle in the slow lane is acceptable!

next time they're gonna get pitted!

We flash at people in the work truck. We watch all the other lorries slow down and then the inpatient people overtake straight into the speedcamera/trap!

i could of got done speeding the other day as there was a van around the corner, if a guy in a scoobydidnt falshand wave at me

i think the Trojans may disagree with you on that one

i flash people, if the sneaks are around, its just a friendly warning...some people look at you weird but they must get it when they spot the little white van hidden in the bushes haha

and its not just little white vans now...... they're also in the back of horse boxes and trailers... sneaky little t**ts

I heard about that. Should get out and say "thought you were pigs"

yeah it was in my local paper, but if they have to sneak like that to catch speeders then its blantantly obvious its a revenue earner!!!

really gets on my tits

Yes, but they have their own saying: 'beware of Greeks bearing gifts'.
