Hiya can anyone help me....i think i was caught doing about 45 maybe less, in what i THINK is a 30 , there were two cops sat at bottom in t5, and as i went pased they were looking down but as i were coming down the road i think they were looking at me ..... if I've got anything wen will i hear about it? what will i get? and will i need to tell insurance?

You will get a letter in a few weeks, and for that much over the speed limit its going to be 3 points and £60 fine I'm afraid, and you will have to tell your insurance

If they were looking down when you passed, likelyhood is there were a) checking out your car details to see if you have insurance/licence/Mot etc on ANPR system or b) they were comparing sizes! lol.

I agree that speeding in a 30 should not be done as it is there for a reason, but what would the explanation be for 85 on a motorway?

And before you say anything i (somehow) walked away from an accident after being hit by a driver doing 80+ on a back road while waiting to turn into the drive at work, the Vauxhall Combo i was in got thrown over a 6ft fence and was 3foot shorter than it should have been and the back passenger corner didnt exsist, the other driver in a Saxo didnt survive.
