round arch mk2

Featured Replies

unfortuntley the time has come to sell my 1990 mk2 breadvan in platinum grey. has got the 1.3 carb engine the car is having it's M.O.T at the moment so it will come with 12 months M.O.T. it has got 8 months tax left and does have some history.

number plate is G40 3UCJ !!!!

not sure how much this would be worth but it would make a good addition to any G40.

the body work has a few patches of surface rust, the worst one being around the rear window, however this was there when i got the car last july and it has not got any worse.

as i said in the title the erar wheel arches have been converted to round ones from the front wings of a mk3 coupe. i have got pictures of the conversion if anyone is interested. the biggest problem i had with the car was not being able to fit bigger rear wheels but since i have done the conversion i have been running 13x7's all round with no rubbing!!!

the car has been used daily for the last 8 months and has never let me down, starts on the button as you expect from a VW.

the front and rear suspension was lowered, but it failed its mot on the bottom ball joints. these have since been replaced along with the front and rear shocks and springs so it is now back to standard height. the rear flexi hoses were replaced for the mot as well. there was £250 spent for the mot so it will now be good for a good few years to come.

it will come with the 60/40mm lowered shocks and springs that were fitted before and these are in good condition.

the car is good for 50mpg without trying which makes it very cheap to run. would make an ideal commuting car or could be turned into something more special with the rear arches.

will come with the standard steel wheels as the mattigs i had on it before will be used on my next project.

looking for around £600ono

based in the worcester area.

if you want any more info then PM or call me on 07866607254

cheers Tom
