thought i'd put up an update on here as the forums finally working properly for me and up to speed so this is what i've been up too over the past couple of weeks...

wheels on

fitted the rear tyres with a mate of mine in the end with some funny techniques!

then i had a small prang...

stripped the front end down to see what damage i'd done, managed to:

smash a headlight,

smash the slam panel,

smash the grille/surround bend the bonnet

but that was it no other damage even the crash bar and bumper survived which was nice!

got on the phone to a fella i know that was breaking a 16v and he had some bits i needed so went down picked them up then worked into the evening so i had something driveable for the next day that looked like this..

then the day after that i fitted my camber shims and new rear lights..

and thats how my car is for the moment..

if anyones got a spare grille surround they want to bring to spring fest for me i'd be a happy man, doesn't matter what colour either the random the better just as long as its one piece i'll have money waiitng!

Ment to ask you on ED38, did you get away with out damaging the wings.

yup wings are both still straight, only hit the fella at about 5mph in a traffic queue so got off lightly tbh!

Dunno if I like that camber, but doesn't look as extreme from the front? Wheels suit it incredibly in the second shot. Lights also look a nice change

ring regal think they're like £17 or something delivered for the shims, easy to fit too!

nope one smashed so gonna have contact zeee germans for another set! but the HID bulbs stayed intact which was nice of them.

Should get some of that sticky back vinyl like leatherette stuff and just cover your bonnet in that. Call it an extreme bonnet bra!

Camo bonnet maybe, in shades of grey... Or something really odd, you might as well while youve got the chance.

Looks pretty smart with the new wheels shame about your crash but seems you were able to turn it round fairly quickly, did you have to claim for the guy you hit, i might be able to get you a surround from a local scrappy as i'll probably be at GTi fest
