As above really, have been talking to Poloace about a chip for the1.4 8v 6n, and just wondered howmany people would be interested since theres so many 8v out there?

Poloace is currently looking in to this, and depending on the amount of intrest for this it may be a go-er.

As I've said above, teh price is yet to be confirmed as Poloace needs some ECU numbers to enquire as to whether different chips are needed for different ranges of ECU number and tools.

In terms of fitting it, I'm guessing it will be the same as how other chips are purchased through poloace and Fahrvergnugen Tuning and it will be a case of send off you ecu, and a few days later you'll have it returned with new chip installed ( dont know the exact detials as i've not purchased one yet)

As i've said before we need some ECU numbers posted so that all the info can be passed on to poloace

As above, I'm waiting on rough prices from Poloace. I would think its would probably be the same amount and process as the 16v chips though

is there really going to be a noticable gain in bhp from chipping a 1.4? or is it just going to destroy the fuel economy.

id also be interested in one of these. I'm on ohio right now so the cars nto with me, hence cant check the chip. I wont ask the price i read the post

Thats part of the fun though isnt it? You wouldnt think that an inductionkit, manifold and exhusts would do much, but its incresed the BHP by 30% (77BHp from 60BHp) and thats noticable when driving

OK, once again for people who haven't read this properly, in order to get this going I need ECU number so that these can be passed on to Poloace.

thats just given me even more of a reason to do that now n did you have a sports cat or decat on you exhaust

currently have cat back and building my way through

also is that 30% increase a rolling road test official increase

also interested in ecu upgrade as well and will look for ecu numbers soon

The ecu will be under teh plastic trim between your engine bay and windscreen ( also has wiper arm motor and linkage underthere) the ECU number, should be on the ECU some where ( mine was a sticker over the top of ecu)
