Polo G40 Big Brake Conversion. Offers.

Featured Replies

Hello.

I still have these left over from my project car.

These brakes were crazy money to have made and were used on Andy Boakes's Polo G40 Cup Car.

This is a complete front brake conversion suitable for track use.

What you will get:

Ally brake bells made for a Mk2F polo fitted to 300mm (I will measure these to make sure) vented, grooved and X-Drilled discs.

Hi-Spec Fixed 4 Pot calliper fitted to aluminium carrier, drilled to suit a Mk2F Polo.

A set of pads.

Steel Braided Brake hoses pre fitted to the calliper

Things you will need to fit:

You will need some longer carrier bolts, you could modify the carrier block.

New bolts cost me less than a pound each but were requried to sell the car due to the original bolts being to rusty.

Brake Fluid. I recommend MOTUL RBF600

15 inch wheels minimum.

Some 15 inch wheels may rub, if they rub, DO NOT USE THEM. Make sure that the wheels clear the callipers' safely

Renewals

All parts are available from performance motorist stores such as rally design, all parts are generic universal sizes so replacement pads and discs are easily obtainable.

The brakes (discs and pads) have seen just a few hours worth of track use.

No postage due to item cost, collection only from Maidstone Kent. ME15 6DL

Viewing is welcome and preffered but they will be sold as seen.

I can bring these to the Polo Show or ED38 for a definate sale but they will be sold on first come first served.

Please PM me with any questions as I rarely use the For Sale Section on here.

Serious offers only please.

I'm after £350 ONO collected for these or can bring to ED38 or Polo Show in the summer but only for a definate sale.

I've ruptured and fractured my collar bone so I'm not at the computer too much atm, please pm with any more questions.

Is this set up only able to be fitted to a Mk3 polo?

It will fit a MK2 Polo and a should fit a MK1 Golf.

Basically anything with the same carrier as the MK2F Polo.

Otherwise, a new carrier can be fitted at motor factors such as Rally Design.

These are now provisionally sold.
