Audi R8 V12 Diesel

I am sure there is still lots of nasty shit pumping out diesel exhaust pipes.

Well the only really harmful stuff is nitrogen which is found even more in diesels that use bio fuel but as the R8 has a treatment process for that as well theirs not much shit coming out the back to be fair. Particle filter collects the soot and a 2 way cat is probably in use to catch any other shit.

Diesel should be left to lorries, tractors and planes.

Sorry but I really don't like it. I especially hate the way diesel lovers bang on about the driving experience being so much better than a petrol car and how it's so much more fun to drive. And how they are more powerful than an equivelant petrol car? Err, doubt it. Give me examples!

In fact, if diesel is SO efficient, surely they SHOULD be able to make more power than their petrol counterparts? But they just don't.

DIESEL IS WRONG!!!!

Turbo the petrol R8 and see who has more power and torque then....

Diesel still wins on torque! Diesel is the future, get over it

VW saw the future a long time ago.......G40 DI ftw

Ok I did kinda ask for that I suppose lol... I'm just pretty sure it will be a lot cleaner than what most of you petrol fan boys believe it will be like.

I'm a fan of both fuels, both have advantages and disadvantages.

SImon

i think the only thing that lets that down styling wise is the front bumper, if it had the petrol version one on it would be perfect imo, although it still looks stunning as it is.

and as for it being a diesel... who needs revs when you have that much torque?

Mk4 Golf GTI Anniversary: VW upped the BHP on the petrol model Mk4 Anni as the Diesel was a lot quicker

Civic (2006 on): 2.0 16v Type R (200bhp) and 2.2 i-TDI (145BHP). the diesel is actually quicker in day to day driving as the power is so high in the rev range on the Type R

the problem is when people compare diesels to petrols they are usually comparing tdi to petrol n/a

a good 2.0 tdi would get spanked by its equivalent 2.0 petrol turbo.

Guys, Audi have already been using an Audi R8 diesel for the Le Mans, and believe it or not....

...winning with it!!

Crazy what they can do with the correct technology and money!

They're only winning because it lasts longer on one tank of fuel

Yeah but if they can use it to beat V12 powered petrol cars then I think we both know that this new R8 TDI is gonna be outstanding!!

Personally I'm against diesel but, prefer the smell of good old petrol!

always makes me laugh when people do that...

Oh shit

Is Ntrogen Bad for you?

I might of just accidentally breathed some in!?!?!

Whoops, and again

Oh no...

Did it again

Am I going to die?

LOL what planes do you fly on mate? :retard:

Same ones as everyone else... Gas turbines effectively run on diesel.

Dual fuel burners run on a diesel/kerosene and gas mix, you get liquid burners which run purely on diesel/kerosene (depending mainly on the country they fill up in ) and gas only burners too.

lol show off :p

The industrial use ones are the worst... Most of the fuel nozzles and burners I've stripped have been full of red diesel

y do you think that subaru, audi, honda etc etc are investing more and more in diesel powered engines?! Equivalent performance, greater economy.

Diesel is the future...
