In my case, i spent ages collecting stuff together and then become unsure if i wanna waste that time by selling it without using it!

I don't mind if they actualy put it in the For Sale section, the ones that are just asking for the sake of it are a little anoying.

Its good to see what everybody else thinks a car is worth, so i aint too fussed by them.

the best ones are the ones when you tell them its worth £500 max (which it was) then they tell you they wouldn't sell it for less than 1k... WTF??

If someone offered me £1300 for my Polo right now then they could have it. That doesn't mean it's worth that or that I want to sell it now!

However if you want to sell your car, place a for sale ad in the for sale section with the price you would like for it. No response? Lower it a bit.

Everytime i get someone leaving a note on my car i ring up at say i wont take less then £1600 lol, its only cos i dont want to sell the car, i wouldnt know what to buy if i had that sort of money

It kind of reminds me of the barry boys who ride about with "For sale" and a phone number in vinyl letters on their classy limo black tints, then when you ring them up they tell you they want 5 grand for a 1 litre corsa.

i think whats it worth threads are totally fine, a good judge of what people would be prepared to pay for you motor, not what you'd ideally like to sell it for. for example when i was thinking about selling my car i didnt want to sell my car for less than £1500 as it owes me tonnes more than that, asking people what theyd pay for it is fine i reckon if you are defo set on selling it and genuinely dont know what its worth

Something is only worth what someone else is prepared to pay for it. The kind of things sold on here cant be universally valued. Parkers cant say how much a 1991 saloon with tuned NZ on Golf steels is worth - it all depends what money is there at the time. Fishing seems fair enough,to me. But perhaps there should be a topic for it? Dont advertise your car if you just wanna know how much its worth.

i agree maybe ripping it straight from parkers was a bad idea but i meant more the style where it had it listed in format telling you what to expect to pay by condition.

i doubt anybody has a car that is so madly unique that there is no similar cars on the web/forum that can be used as a reference point when deciding how much to sell your car.

when i did that with my corsa, someone agreed on a price, took it off ebay and they then came down from cov and started haggling
