I was coming home from work today with 4 other people and they all was doing over 30, and they all took over a suzuki carry in one go which i also did at the very back (they was in beemers etc and i was in my 8v hence being at the back!) any way a normal police fiesta pulled me, told the rest to pull over but they did one, i was the only one who stopped...

they wrote down everything i said and they asked me, was u driving in an incompetant manner and i replied yes, they said do u agree u was going over 30 i said yes, and so on...

now theres no video evidence, just this statment i gave being truthfull!

He's told me hes summoning me for driving without due care and attention due to overtaking following other people aswell as breaking the speed limit (he hasnt clocked my speed or anything) so based on this statment i complied with will i get done, he said i am getting 3-4 points and hes summoning me for the offence, but i have not been given anything?

is this just a threat or has any one ever been 'done' for anything similar from a normal bobby in a fiesta?

If it does go further I'd try saying you were being picked on for being in a lower class car than all the rest of the cars.

Club Polo isn't really the best place to ask for legal advice as just about everyone on here doesn't know all the ins and outs of road traffic law.

Though the standard caution might be something to think about...anything you say may be given in evidence...

I'm not sure whether or not you need to be issued with anything for a traffic offence when its not a fixed ticket. I'd have to go and ask someone to be sure, my dad is asleep so that rules him out.

If you did,then you're fucked mate.Police rely on corroboration of 2

or more Police officers.It's their word against yours i'm afraid

they don't need to have evidence of you speeding, you admitted to it, same with the other offenses, if you admit it your fucked. not sure how the summons and things work tho, good luck with it tho.

well basically whats been said above is right, if it was only one police officer they cant really do anything unless there was a witness with them or they had video evidence, if you signed the statement that he took then your fooked but if you didnt there are loop holes in it, only if it was one officer though, at the end of the day they have to have a witness or show video evidence of you commiting the crime before they can prosecute you, i got off with a ban because for getting caught speeding because the officer was on his own so when i did admit to speeding when he pulled me it didnt mean anything in court because he never go tme to sign the statement plus he forgot to show me the footage or image of me speeding, so he had no leg to stand on. there are lots of loop holes just do your research, i know its not something to brag about but i've been caught for lots of thing in my younger driving days and never got any points because you can always find a way out of it when it comes to court, mostly because of lack of evidence

i hate to be the barer of bad news but you'll probably be looking at a ban and a retest as he said you'll be getting 3-4 points plus summoning you to go to court. i'm no legal expert but that sounds like you'll be getting fixed points for speeding, then going to court for the other driving offense.

i dont think you'll get in trouble though. i got a notice of intended prosecution for drivin like a muppet whn i jsut passed at 17, i just never gpt summoned to court
