3 years points last for, you have to keep declaring them to your insurance for 5 years tho.

ant i dont mean to be harsh and your are my mate but you have to learn to chill out your driving, think of the safety of others in the car first and foremost and then the safety of other road users before you think of yourself.

if you can and I'm sure you have the cash take a few advanced driving lessons, as a relatively new driver who likes his performance cars itll be money well spent.

I got flashed by a speed camera 6 weeks and 2 days ago (yes i'm counting.) and heard nothing so far, it was on the traffic lights i Droylsden ton center.

I think if you dont hear anything within 28 days they cant do anything?

No i didnt admit that straight up, i addmited to driving in a mannor which was not acceptable or something along them lines

if you only get 3 points for speeding a lot of insurance company's don't put your insurance up for the first 3 as its so easy to get them, but you would still have to declare them.

I got beat up few years back in a bar brawl by 8 fella's and 3 of them were just outa jail, and the police honestly told me "we'll give you a lift home, but placing charges on these fellas isnt worth the hassle".

Dont trust the police, I hate them. But they will occasionally help you. Suppose its like any job really, you will always get some dodgy/arrogant/uptight pencil pushers and then you will meet some really sound 'on the level' people. It's a crazy world!

Says what? The police told you not to press charges a) because you might have landed your self in more trouble with those people or b) because the charges wouldn't come to anything in court, which has nothing to do with the police and everything to do with the court systems...

and i'm guessing you'd been drinking and so had any witnesses so unless they caught them in the act it would be difficult for you to i.d them

Yeah but a CCTV camera, the staff of a take away, about 8 people waiting in the takeaway and 2 cars all wouldve said the same thing. Watch the police, they're getting pretty sly in the UK, wasting a hell of a lot of time on stupid things such as driving without valid tax or that, but they occasionally come in handy.

Correct. After 14 days just throw it in the bin. The police can't afford to have film in all their cameras all of the time, so chances are thats why you haven't heard anything.

Speaking to my mate who is a copper and he was telling me this, coz he pulled in behind me when I done a roundabout at 60!

Thought he was gonna say summin but coz I was coming from a national speed limit onto another your allowed to take the roundabout at the exiting speed.

Wow, how much fun I can have now.

He did also say that not even unmarked cars are entitled to chase. Dont know how much of this is true

I know from experiance leicester unmarked cops will chase hard

I was under the impression that if they cautioned you it can take upto 6 months for a summons to arrive

thats not true, i know this from experience and i even still have the paper work to prove it

plus theres always kids on mopeds getting chased by the police around here and not all the cars are traffic police

my mate got chased and got away from a transit van down some country lanes once

I wont ever admit iff i get pulled again . They had no video evidence either ..

i give them the bear minimum information with respect and politeness but i flat out refuse any questioning which may incriminate me. i got arrested for theft and taken to the station. on the way thee the cop was talking to me about stuff and turned the topic to my theft and basucally he was questioning me trying to get me to slip up and say something/admit to something i hadnt done!! i actually had stole the can of spray paint and i got a caution for it but they were trying to get me done for all the missing head units n sat navs. this was when i worked at halfords. cops are sly C(tothemotherfuckin)T's but some are sound. i got pulled in the hatchy one night by 2 young coppers who were proper dubbers, both said their tyres were way to far out the arches on their vento and mark 1 golfs they had had and how pimp D bands look shame their illegal but they run them lol. turned out they only pulled me to have a closer look cos they thought it looked cool, and let me off for a bald tyre- genuinely didnt know it had got so bad + had some new tyres on order anyway) and lack of reflectors on the rear- lights were can sprayed with matt black paint lol.

if you didnt sign your statement then surely they cant do anything even if there were two coppers??
