Got some lovely 25mm spacers on the back now to bring the wheels out a bit, looks brill, had to get the grinder out on the arches though as was a bt too much scrubbage for my liking, its perfect now though :)

will post up pics when I have taken some!

er what's wrong with my arches, they are perfectly clean apart from a little rust.

not going to bother cleaning my engine bay either as having far too much fun actually driving the car rather than just cleaning this one, cars are meant to be driven!

so ... when you going to be able to show us all yours?

ahh dont ask bec! given in with cleaning the thing! the mini is the show goer so thats whats going to be cleaned i cant be arsed with cleaning the olo now, lol and as for your arches i didnt see them last month as your car is low so tbh I'm sure they are fine, as for the bay hmm it has to be done I'm afraid

Have been busy taking some new pics, also there's a couple with the new spacers fitted to the rear, a whole 25mm of loveliness and a bit of grinding of arches later and hey presto I'm happy with my rear end

Looks nice only thing i would change is that slatted grille. A standard single lamp grille with a vw badge would look awesome with those tinted headlights.

lovely Becky... just aquired a mk2 myself - liking the headlights, i want some non-smoked crosshairs, the smoked suits the white though..

i for the life of me though find clear bloody indicators for small bumpers!

hey, haven't been on here for over two years now but I am back and thought I would update this thread if anyone is still interested?!

so much has changed since I was last on but all for the better in many ways!

I still have the golf but I have done so much to it, I am loving driving it and it loofs fab at the mo. I had a full respray in the original colour (Candy white) in november last year as well as lots of smoothing done, ie aerial removed, no arch spats, no rear seams etc...still running with the ATS cups cos I love them! Have now got weitec fully adjustable suspension, all bushes have been replaced with poly bushes, new brakes all round, loads of engine work done and the car is fantastic to drive.

Yes for one reason or another I haven't been on any forums but I'm back again now!

NWVAG has faded a bit, Rob doesn't run it anymore so I am trying to give it a facelift. I have missed a couple of meets myself which was unheard of in the past but I'll be going on tuesday and I think we should try to resurrect it really, it used ot be a big meet but just died out so if you are free on Tues then please come down. I will hopefully be in the golf too :)

Cheers for the compliments guys :-D Unfortunately I have a couple of little bits that need attention now as I have a tiny bit of damage to one of my arches, think a rather large stone hit one of them and removed some paint - the price you pay for not having arch trims!!

Ben, yes starting NWVAG again, well it never really ended but it died a little so we are trying to promote it again, same time, first tuesday of the month yes! I've taken the meet over from Rob as he has gone to the dark side and bought a French car so its a lot more laid back and friendly now :-)

Love your car Andy = its me that you hassle for stickers, they are £1.50 each.
