A few pics from a photoshoot we did in the hills, I have been stopped three times in the last two days and asked if I would consider selling my car! It's very flattering but the answer is 'Noooooooo!' Anyway, here's the pics, i think a dark moody sky suits it well!:

Cheers Matt! Was very proud of it at the weekend!

I love how it sits on those ATS's, looks spot on! Very clean car, makes me want a mk2

Looking good, especially the rolling shot! Can't beat a good rolling shot :-D

This car used to be mine! A work mate showed me it on here the other day! Its good to see that it is still alive and well I really didnt expect it to be to be honest! Last I heard it had been sold to a young lad in chorley. I've had a read through the thread what is the Engine work you did to it on the previous page was it performance work or maintenance work?

  • Author

Ha ha the young lad in Chorley was my ex who found the car for me, I have owned it for nearly three years now, think the plans before I had it were to put a 20 valve in it but as its on a C plate and the engine runs so sweet I wanted to keep it standard. Engine mods have been done, a bit of tweaking here and there for optimal performance :) Unfortunately a captive bolt on the subframe has snapped so am getting that sorted next week then getting it in the body shop for a few touch ups. When did you own the car? Do you like what I have done to it?

xx

I had it from 1999-2006 and mark from dubsport got it off me to use as a run around. When I had it I also had ATS cups on but I had 15x8 on the back but mark took them off and sold them. I also had a golf rallye interior in it but he sold that aswell. It belonged to a freind of mine for 3 years before I had it then before that it belonged to other members of his family so I have known the car most of its life. I was told it was for sale in 2008 and almost bought it back but it was in a bit of a sorry state then and I am just not into messing with cars any more so I left it. It had a 2.0 9A bottom end when I owned it and a TSR ported and polished head. I also had the metering head and WUR set up at a rolling road and it really did go At the time I co owned a bodyshop and we resprayed it fully in 2003 in volvo 189 polar white as the original colour was alpine white and it was always a bit bright and showed rust easily. I had loads of paperwork for the car including the original bill of sale but they got thrown out when we sold the bodyshop as they were no use to us

Wow! You really have had a lot to do with the car! Will pm you x

Proper necksnapper this, what does it sound like?

  • Author

Cheers! It sounds fab. especially when you get to between 3000 and 4000rpm :-D

Mmm!

looking good becky :-)

Class.

what a minter :D

any pics of the bay?

  • Author

There's some pics of the bay a couple of pages back, no updated ones at the moment though :)

Car is in the garage at the mo as the captive bolt on the subframe has snapped so they are drilling through the chassis to get to it and replace, going to be pretty time consuming but worth it!

Really nice golf!

Absolutly loving that caddy though and the cocacola wheels :)
