Update, 05/11/2008

right, now i haven't updated in agggeeeessss. This is all due to lack of funds from having the gearbox refurbished. But that didnt stop me doing a cople of tweeks to the car.

I bought a set of those G-Laderseite ARB blocks. Soi got them fitted one evening and also made a rear strut brace out of some old metal tubing i found the garage, and painted it in vw mars red.

Only just got them on, as i have been wax=oiling the inner arches for the winter months and painted the front brake calipers red for that extra kick!

Few pics to enjoy (not the best i know), please excuse the dirtyness, ran out of car shampoo lol

Also whislt i was there i picked up my new Remus Backbox, which is just what i was looking for. Not load just a nice burrble when i open the car up!! doesnt get on my nerves when driving along.

And also got a mk4 engine cover with brackets.

Got both of them fitted to the car now and looks alot better then the pea-shoooter pipe at the back and the engine is a bit tidyer.

ooooo i have alos fitted a 4-branch dstainless de-cat manifold as well, heat wrapped. looks alot better and the engine pulls better as well.

OOOHH yes, i justy remebereed i have now got a PSD chip fitted as well. pulls looaaadddds better as well

couple of boring pics but somthign for you all to gander over.

Just been rubbing down the cover on the righthand corner where it use to say 1.4. going to get a few stikers for it and cover the corner up.

JUst need to keep on polishing my mk4 alloy rocker covers up and fit one to the engine and it will look looads better.

Update. 24/3/2009

bit of a depressing update this time, both thought i'll share it with you.

I had a spot of rust that has been bothering me for a while, just poping up above the O/S sill trim. So i came home from work today and thought i'll take the trim off and see what needs doin. got the trim off no problem, but as soom as i touched the rust it fell in lol, so i gave it a wee poke and this soon developed

100_0254.jpg

so, hopefulyl i'll weld it up before sunday when theres abit of sun. i have only got friday and saturday sort of free to do it, along with droping the rear suspension down to the next setting. and giving the car a damn good polish for the club stand on sunday.

fingers crossed it will be done!!!!!

that will be done..

I've got to finsh fill and paint my arches drop the suspension and remove a engine all byy sunday..

Very nice car with those rims too, never thought the washing machine style cover would work on the engine, will look even better with a newer alloy cam cover.

That hole looks not to bad, at least it's a self contained piece of rot that can have a piece shaped and welded flush in there once you've cut out the rot.

yeah i've got two alloy rocker covers sitting under my bed. ones is the one with the cut out thing and the other is the tthe one with out. I just need to whip em out and finsh off cleaning them up, got to get the ultra fine wet adn dry grade paper on them and polish them then they should be cool.

got the big hole welded up today, got to smooth it down a little and paint it next and then the same to the other hole then trim on a pimp it kool!!
