Pics of the arches ........... not fitted ....... not even trial fitted but just tried up against the car as I just got them..

As you will see they are as good a fit as fiberglass products ever are. They will pull up and all gaps will close or seal with the minimum of sticaflex. Hope this helps. I'll show you more as soon as I can.

Looks like there's a lot of work there getting the contours right. Are you going to make the arches fit the bumpers, or the bumpers fit the arches, so to speak? Or a bit of both?

I don't know what direction you are taking your car in? Because I was thinking you might run a fuel cell, and have a purge twin filler in a plastic window or something, negating the need to modify the arch around the petrol flap? Dunno.

Looking forward to more updates, have you got a progress thread?

Yeh, pics were there but its all been edited.

Its nothing to worry about though, was just a few shots of the arches temporarily taped onto the car, standard wheels an everything. Not really much to see - yet.

It will be one hell of a car once its finished though me thinks.

Not to much work in fitting them ... bit of cutting and welding to rear arches and some cutting of the front arches .... and I have to make the front bumper and the cut off piece of arch stay together at the front with some brackets / fiberglassing / boddge / or some method.

Don't have a progress thread ....... as my progress is slow and sparodic ........

No not done it my self but i do have berg arches and a mk3 not installed yet! I'm making moulds at the moment for the bumpers.

That Haug Motorsport rally car is a propper little gem ...isn't it.

Cut the front wheel arch tonight literaly 10mins work. cant see the rears being much more difficult (fingers crossed)

with the rears you may find you cut into the double skin. You may need to end up cutting a strip and joining the 2 sides together.

1300 bottom end with an AFH head on it, a little bit of machining to the end of the block to fit an additional idler wheel and the jobs a goodun.

Yes .... the arches are a good fit for a fiberglass product, and cutting and shutting the rear steel arches on the car is about 30 mins per side. I don't foresee any problems except fitting the front lower bit of arch to the bumper.

More likely a AFH with a lightened short throw crank.

Then you can use a longer rod to have better rod/stroke ratio

looking good David. may i just add, as some of you will be unaware, david is a welder/fabricator i believe, and i'd say this kinda of thing will be a fairly easy job for him. hope it goes to plan mate, but i know if it doesnt it will still come out looking great!! :-D
