Afraid I have no idea what this will fit. I have a mate with a 6n so might be able to try it on there...

As a general rule of thumb (or so I've always assumed) is that VW only made 2 spline sizes. Large/late and small/early. mk3s were large spline so I'm guessing a mk5 would be as well.
