Unfortunatly it's time for me and the 'loon to part. I bought the Polo around 2 months ago as a cheap and cheerful run around and thats exactly what its been. Cheap on fuel and a nice fun car to drive. Plus it's a bit of a head turner being the saloon version!

I am selling because as I said, the car was only ever a run around whilst I was unemployed and I now need a bigger car.

The exterior of the Polo is very good. A few little car park dings and the odd scratch but generally spot on. Very little rust with only a few scabs here and there. There is no structural rust. Needs a new front bumper as it has had a little bump in the past and the bumper is bent but otherwise secure and not a necessity to replace. All windows in tip top condition. All trim nice and tidy (bar front bumper).

The interior is spot on. Almost imaculate bar one or 2 little marks on the dash. All trim is present and complete. The seats are imaculate, as is the carpet and boot space. All electrics (not alot) work as they should, as do all the interior bulbs. The car comes with a tape/radio head unit but there is no ariel. Included will be a tape adaptor and a USB stick 1gb MP3 player loaded with various MP3s.

The engine runs spot on. I have just recently replace all of the vacume hoses and a new ignition coil due to hesitation and stalling at idle. The car now runs spot on, revs freely and drives nice and smooth. The gear changes are nice and smooth with no grinding into any forward gears. Reverse grinds on some occasions but so do pretty much all cars. The car has covered 84000 miles. There are no signs of head gasket failure or any leakages of any kind. The brakes work spot on and do not sink to the floor when pressed. Can easily lock up the front wheels and the hand brake is very good. The tracking is a little out with the steering wheel being at about 11oclock when driving straight, nothing really to worry about.

The car comes with various documents including the original grey VW folder and manuals. Various service history with stamps in the book and other recipts, MOTs and bits and bobs. The car comes with a spare key and i'll throw in my trusty, dogeared haynes manual too.

There is no MOT (ran out mid march) on the car at the current time although does have tax so you can drive it away at your own risk.

TBH I haven't got a clue what it will need, if anything, for MOT. It drives fine in my eyes and I haven't noticed anything I would say needed doing for MOT. All tyres are good and legal, theres no knocking or anything from the suspention etc, all lights and bulbs work, brakes are good and strong, as far as i am aware the exhaust is in good nick. The previous owner was adement that it would sail through and I'm pretty confident it will too but obviously its an old car so I can't garuntee that it will pass I wont refund any money if it doesnt lol.

Your welcome to come and check over the car anyway. All I ask is that you dont come expecting to offer me £200 and take it away. It wont happen. I am open to offers but not silly ones.
