right tried to change my alternator belt 2day, slackened the two bolts your ment to, tried to push it down, hard to get belt off why your doing that at the sametime

is there a better way to get the belt off, summot that will hold the alternator down? never changed a belt before haha used the search but i could not find much on it

The alternator should go in a fair way,and is just pushing back out by a spring. You should be able to hold it with one hand and simply slip the belt off,as long as its in fully. If you need both hands for the belt,you could try propping the alternator in place by wedging a bar/object in the space.
