I did my pass plus. Knocked off £700 from my insurance quote with MORE THAN. Well worth it in my opinion mate, especially as the pass plus is only £150. You got to really look around because most places will only give you a 10-15% discount. Also phone the insurers direct rather than filling out internet quotes, as they normally come up cheaper over the phone.

When you do it, presumably as soon as you can after passing your driving test, do you ring up your insurer and tell them? do they knock the money off instantly?

A couple of mates who did passplus got really good prices from ASDA.

I did it and Suffolk county council were running a scheme for safer young driers, so got it for £75, knocked £250 off my insurance with tescos.

BUT for it to have any effect you have to be the main driver on the policy.

i did the pass plus. saved me £50 in the end what a louad of bollocks that was. but never mind! its still like an extra certificate int it at the end of the day! another thing done :) thats the way i seen it loool :) and if i ever needed to do a job with driving :) it hep sout. id do it mate! deffo!

i did it on my first year and it only noked off 90 quid

i done the pass plus, think youve got a year or two from passing your test to do it. i done myn the week after passing. i rang up the insurance company told them i was going to do it on the date i got given from my instructor. It took £900 off, they said i had 30 days to do the pass plus and send the certificate as proof.

mine was quite good, just happened to be porsche owners club meet on the country roads when i done mine. 911 turbos and GT3's etc.... flying past was amazing
