Crashed my car BIG Style!

Featured Replies

Well i was travelling along a country lane last night about 9.30pm, going steady, and hit a patch of mud which had be dragged on to the road by a tractor, the back end went, tryed to correct it, lost control and hit a tree! Not Happy, Engine has been snapped off both engine mounts, and has moved roughly 6 inches back! Boot lid has a 10mm+ gap on the one side, and roof has kinked! :crybaby:

I know, pistachio green has always been one of my favorites! :-(

looks nasty,everyone ok?

I found a bit on the net about mud on the road....

Highways Act 1980 Section 137 states “If a person, without lawful authority or excuse, in any way wilfully obstructs the free passage along a highway he is guilty of an offence”. Highways Act 1980 Section 148 “If without lawful authority or excuse a person deposits anything whatsoever on a highway to the interruption of any user of the highway he is guilty of an offence” Highways Act 1980.

Civil action can occur where the presence of mud results in personal injury, damage to property, loss or inconvenience. The presence of mud can constitute a public nuisance and loss or injury can result in a claim for negligence.

All found on http://www.bradford.gov.uk/transport_and_i..._on_highway.htm

fook thats bad  glad you are ok tho.

altercations with trees pretty much only ever go one way unfortunately.

whats next, another mk4?

pettsy is right mate unless the farmer had put "mud on the road" warning signs you can fuck him over

Sorry to hear this dude. Not good. End of the day, its only a lump of metal. You can always get another one! Glad your ok! :)

 Thats a bit of a mess!

Glad nobody was badly injured though!

shit man thats baaaaad!!!!

glad your ok though, as someone else said its a piece of metal that can be replaced, life cant...

and i would definately go back to the site armed with a camera showing the mud on the road, where your car lost control etc etc etc and draw some diagrams and then go to a solicitior armed with those highway acts, and see what they say...

youve lost your pride and joy which youve worked hard to buy and run, ok you can claim on inaurance, but your shouldnt have to.

hope you get it sorted soon pal

That looks bad, glad you ok though!

noooooooo :'(
