how wide on a 6n

Featured Replies

alright lads. will be looking at buying some new wheels shortly and was wondering how wide i can go on a 6n without major issues.

the car is currently down the whole way on coilies without the helper springs so sits very low on 14x6's.

the inner lips of the arches have been folded up so it doesnt currently rub unless you hit a big bump or have 5 people in the car.

was thinking about going for ats classics probably 7's up front but was wondering weather to go for 7'sor 8's out back. probably running 175/50/13's. will it rub like a bitch on 8's?

sorry i dont know the et of classics.

cheers

dry

13x10!

Go on it will look sick!

dunces are you on 8's and 9's?

really wanted classics tho. could get 8's and then use spacers to get the stance on the back sorted.

dont want it to rub that much tho cos i often have to take 3 people and 3 bikes

13x10 would be mad

I'm on 8 x 14 all round and low with a far bit of rubbing

If you don't want it to rub with all that I'd stick with 13x8s to be safe

13x8's it is.

cheers lads

Of course it depends on offsets and tyres too ;)

13x9 classics ftw!

of course, will be 175/50/13's and probably whatever offset classics are which i guess is fairly standard offset for 8's. hopefully it will be fine

can you get classics in 9's new.

I've seen some second hand 9.5's but never new.

acky was on 13x9's all round but it needs to be silly low to pull it off

14's much better ;)

if you're going for 9"s on the rear aim for an offset around 20, with the right tyre choice its perfection!

what tyre choice would that be?

classics are 8inch et 0, you wont be running spacers, trust me!

Might need a bit more than the old 195/45 option on there

was gonna go 175/50.

didnt realise they where et0

Arch gap on the back ;) but shit it's got to be low to pull off 13s :-p

i rocked 195's on mine, not many tyre choises on 13" wheels

Wasn't that illegal? Tread surely stuck out on et 0 ?

it did and it was, tread was out about 1cm... plan was to pull my arches but never got round to it, but i recon would of been perfect with some camber shims :] will never find out as i sold them though lolzzz

i might go for 7's then use spacers to get it right.

i can always take the spacers off or get smaller/bigger ones if it doesnt sit right.

i might have to put the helpers back in tho. think it might just sit on the wheels...

thats not the lowest i ran it at, infact that was when i first put them on....

thats a 7inch btw, with 5mm spacer and 175/50 tyres i think.

was a long time ago lol
