Insurance is doing my nut in

Featured Replies

Adrian Flux managed to give me a quote on my car without asking me for any details on the other two drivers going on there, and hardly any of my personal details come to mention that. Oh and they told me they didn't like mods either?

I've been trying comparemore.co.uk as reccomended by somebody on here, but the quotes always change time after time, they're never the same when getting them. But they always come through with good quotes, for provisional to full to modded, but with companies i've never heard of so i don't know how reliable? e.g. 1stquote, mymotorquote, evolution.

Quinn Direct wanted 764 for me and my 'rents on a provisional, shooting up to 2400 when i pass.

Anybody got any suggestion for a 17year old for provisional and full license with the view to modifying this summer?

Its doing my frickin head in already.

Hi,

This does not sound right as we do have plenty of schemes for modded cars etc.

Would you like me to get you a call back arranged with a member of the underwriting team so they can go through everything.

Who were the other drivers you were wishing to put on there?

Dan.

I was hoping to put my parents on the policy too, with the hope of bringing the premium down slightly and my dad and i also travel the country quite a bit in the summer for fun.

The guy on the phone didn't ask me details regarding my paren'ts, not there names, age, driving experience nothing, just asked me how many other drivers i was wanting to add. He also told me that Flux don't insure modifications on drivers under 19years of age. I'll be 17 on wednesday so i am wanting to cover my car on a provisional license then upgrade to full license when i pass, and then this summer add some alloys, coilovers and an exhaust definately.

I was confused though, i was rather hoping i could go with adrian flux as there headquarters are relatively local to me and the rappor gathered from other forum users and other people in general is outstanding. If you feel you may be able to sort something out for me or could offer me something good then please go for it.

thankyou

Ed.

Hi Ed,

We don't have any insurers that will insure a parent and child policy. The car would have to be registered to the youngest driver etc.

Hopefully you got a call back from us and we managed to explain everything to you.

Dan.
