Rali Bro teifi

had a mare of a rally with a scruitenner being an arse to me, as it turned out I had to 'borrow' a half rattle can of yellow form Hywel who then painted the rest of the car, a good job all things considered. so Blondie looks a bit worse for wear. anyhoo

start number was 83 of 90 in the novice class, we spent half teh day on some crazy off road sections, and fairplay blondie was loving it whilst a lot of other cars fell by the wayside, had a slight oppsie when I overshoot and lost an indicator to some farm machinary. so when it came to half time and teh break before a night in the lanes.

I was 41st, and first in the novice class by a clear 4 and a half minutes. we had picked up a penalty for arriving too early into a control.

on to the night, it started really well with me catching and passing teh car in front who started a full minute in front of me, in only the first selective. so i was peddaling her alright. had a big whoopsie on a white with a gatepost .......... then I lost a spot light and a headlight to a ford, and my other spot was pointing into the hedge, this was a a grim moment, where we considered going home. but we carried on and got to the finish. feeling a bit deflated, we expected not to do well. as it turned out.

I was 23rd overall, and first novice winning with a clean sheet and a 10 minute margin. got a lovely plate to commemorate it.

I won beginner classin telford, novice in bro teifi, now I'm semi - expert so don't expect and trophy's for quite some time.

now teh pictures, sorry hywel

Nice one man! Blondie doesnt look as worse for wear as I thought she would from all those wee collisions you described! Noticed that its got reg plates, is she road legal then?! Or do they have to be for the rally's or summit?

Well done on the results mate

now get her fixed

awesome!!! love the rally slag polos :)

in order to take part in a rally do you have to do loads of work to the car? like a weld in roll cage etc?

Not in a road rally, your car has to be road legal though. You can go out in a standard car.

are there quite a few people on here who do road rallying or 12 cars then?

have just fitted 2 new doors. now for filler and paint! rallying is fun!

That pic from the back looks well cool. More people should adopt the badged, big mud flaps and mud splatters look in my opinion 8-)

Well done on the rallying though and it looks like you had a good time too :)
