right well yesterday was rather productive. my car has been sitting for a week unused as i had the scroll swapped on my charger. so in the process i thought ill change the belts, set up the timing, change the oil and filter, paint the rear drums, put some top end treatment in. this thread is bascally a small diary of yesterdays antics.... from the morning till half 5 this morning.

so yesterday the charger came back and looked like this...mmmmmm

then it waited with the rest of the stuff until the late afternoon....

then i fed my house rabbit

then i set away finishing the rear drums i'd started the other day

then my mate came down a towed me to his garage

whilst we waited to get started i took some photos of the other shit going on at the minute

then we got started on mine

all done. checked the timing which was slightly out. sorted! then my mate came down with his square which the exhaust hangers at the back had snapped, lucky i have a spare set of vag hangers in my glove box! did a little bet, how quick can you fit them! 20secs! not bad?! i lost the bet!

then we played outside with the beetle! 2.2 litre turbo beetle, basically set up for drag racing. watch it set off, which aint too fast but then forward to about 1 min on the vid and it comes back.

then by this time it was nearly 7. i was meeting some people at 10 past so i quickly went home scrubbed up and was out. proper mint night heres two or three of said night in celebration of having the G back!
