got an email saying that my subscription had been taken, i have emailed with sally cancelling this, but evidently it hasnt, I've emailed and left adequate time but still no reply

can someone sort this out please?

I'm not one to normally post things like this, but i aint making any progress doing it the correct way...

mate I've heard you need to go to your bank, close your account down go to another one open it there, wait for a new cheque book, move house, burn your car. I've heard this is a quicker way of doing it

i had the same thing as you dan, but there was no money in the account to take, still stayed as a paid member for a good while after tho so no complaints.

If someone has the power can they cancel my subscription too.

I wasn't going to re-join when off topic was shut down but the money came out of paypal on its own which was very shit indeed

as a way of gauging a guesttimate, how many people have cancelled the next payment? i know mine was knocked back as requested (still shows as memeber for the minute) and whats peoples reasons for doing so?

hi , I also have emailed to cancel in the past as I wasn't happy that my subscritpion was renewed without being asked , sorry but I don't like money just being taken out, please also cancel mine , but I do appreciate the site needs subscriptions to continue to run, but I just didn't expect for it to come straight out just a little bit scary, i would re-new every year but would prefer to have to do it my self, thanks

i had the same problem of having to refresh all the time, but try downloading mozilla firefox and viewing it through that if your using windows, I'm not trying to convert you not to cancel but it eliminates one of your problems but i do agree an off topic section would be good

Club Polo has lost its atmosphere it had when i joined.

However If iv still got a polo when my renewal comes i will renew it. Purely because i dont believe in shitting on your own doorstep.

IE - Dont pay subscription and then get pissed off when clubpolo disappears.

In my opinion theres too many people on here using bandwidth to show off their NON POLO cars. Even though its only a small amount, this is a polo forum and people posting pictures of their golfs, raddos ect contributes to the server crashing.

I thought the only way you could pay your membership fees were by Manually by paypal (i.e. like you would if paying for something from ebay), a paypal subscription (where it gets taken by paypal via your chosen paypal method (bank transfer/credit/debit card), or by sending a cheque in.

But if you did go into you bank and just asked them to transfer £5 to an account then it will be a one off payment but if you asked them to transfer £5 every 12months (a standing order) then you will have to contact you bank and cancel it.

Agreed man... the whole refreshing thing isn't a problem with firefox, I generally dont have problems with the site (apart from last night, but sally warned us of that!)

well i'd agree but i have never had to prove anything to get my 10% i just say 'do i get my 10% club discount?' yep.

i think it speaks volumes that yet again.... nobody reponds to the issues noted on here...

i can understand the audience changing and me getting older and moving on, thats something i can choose to accept or not. things just never seem to get addressed anymore, i dont even know who runs this show? i know sally does some stuff but she has a life and a job so is rarely on here from what i can tell... in a way i feel, maybe she shouldnt have took on the role if she hasnt got the time, and then maybe at the time she thought it would be easier than it is? i dont know i dont want to make assumptions and neither do i want to point fingers but its not how it used to be... the mods and admin used to be clearly visable now it seems a bit elitist and behind closed doors what goes on... i dunno, all i know is there are stuff i dont like, but then there will be people who will be happy, like everything, you cant please everyone, just a shame that there is evidently a few of us not renewing. anyways I've got the g40 website now which is more up my street... my clubpolo sticker got binned long ago to be replaced with a g40 one.

How to cancel your ClubPolo Subscription on Paypal:

You can cancel your subscription from your transaction history.

A subscription can be cancelled up until the day of the next scheduled payment.

Here's how:-

Login to you Paypal account...

1. Click My Account.

2. Click History at the top of the page.

3. Select Subscriptions from the Show menu.

4. Tick the From box and change the date back two years.

5. Click Search.

6. Click Details to view the details of a specific Subscription Creation.

7. Click Cancel Subscription

8. Click Cancel Subscription again.

You need to search to find when you first joined ClubPolo as a subscriber...if you can't remember, have a look on what date the last ClubPolo subscription was deducted from your account and search each year on that particular date and you will eventually find a subscription setup to pay 'paypal@clubpolo.co.uk' click cancel and it's done; you will also receive an e-mail confirmation of this action.
