:p :lol:8-)

still no mod has posted on this?

Its five quid a year. If your insurance is 500,and you got discount, you've saved enough to be a member for TEN YEARS. I've never been a member purely because i dont have paypal. If admin send me a pm telling me where to send a cheque,i'll include backpay from when i joined. Its not even two pints of beer. A year. Cheers, like.

its the principle my friend...

I agree the administration arnt bowling about like community support officers before an election, but it takes something to keep a site like this going at all. Its clear from Sally's pin that work is going on,and look at the support from you lot? Loyalty.. Is there no more constructive action? Because its shocking, reading all this.

Dont get me wrong, having the ability to cancel at any time is only polite, and i agree fully on the principal. But auto renewal is pretty common, everything i pay for automatically will continue until i cancel. If otherwise, people on here would probably complain its a pain in the arse to keep having to renew every time!

your so off the mark?

I'm not going to go into a big debate about this forum, I've done this in a previous post, i only want my £5 back that i had sorted out wasnt going to be taken...

clear from sallys pin that work is going on?

its also clear from the hundreds of WHERES MY CLUB POLO STICKER, that jack shit is going on!

so please save the preaching...

Jack shit is a bit of a harsh way to put it, I'm sure a lot of time and money is being spent to keep just the website in order. Not to mention for ONLY a fiver you get the sticker, yearbook and several discounts. Talk about value for money! Despite that I can see your problem but tbh Paypal are the ones you should be bitching to..

Hello Dan hope you are well?

Can i please have your e-mail address that you used to sign up to the forum and i will sort this now for you.

PM me your e-mail if you want.

Thanks

All the best Dave.

again gota disagree with everything you put, you are sure a lot of time and money is being spent to keep the site in order?

how are you sure? I'm sure of the opposite going off how the forum is run and seeing how things are being done!

and for a fiver you get the sticker (well you dont, you get put on a list expecting one), yearbook, yeah not bad, several discounts, yeah but i personally haven't used the discounts in the last year...

And no it isnt paypals problem either, i searched through paypal and couldnt figure out how to cancel it, emailed club polo and informed them of this and was told that it had been sorted and cancelled. When evidently it hadnt...

I'm just saying how it is really, not having a little outburst...

Club Polo never used to have this problem, when i joined up my member pack came in a week! So its not staff its the amount of people on the forum now. Its MASSIVE.

Rather then moaning about this why dont you offer to pack and seal envelopes?

This is so disheartening to read, fair enough people are entitled to cancel their renewal if they want to but its only a fiver a year... and what about shows and club stands, banners etc? its not just a forum..... the issues with the packs and stickers are being dealt with and should be resolved shortly, then with things back on track it should run more smoothly in the future.

Its reading threads like this that has made a lot of the origional admin and members give up and leave, it really is a thankless task most of the time. I agree that the atmosphere and friendlyness has got worse lately but please help to do something about it and make suggestions as to how we can improve the club.

We were all very dissapointed about the polo show not being at billing anymore and have worked hard sorting out another venue, but its comments like the above that make me wonder why we bother.

Thanks to those people who have made positive comments, the club has got much bigger and with the recent changes in admin and mods its been a bit of a tricky time for everyone but please bear with us.

ok why dont you?

ok why dont you?

Because i dont have a problem with Club Polo and obviously you do?

- However if Club Polo does need people to help I'm up for sealing some envelopes.

"Its reading threads like this that has made a lot of the origional admin and members give up and leave, it really is a thankless task most of the time"

what does that mean?

its responses like that that make me want to leave!

"and what about shows and club stands, banners etc? its not just a forum"

How you run the financial side of the club, be it a very lucrative one, and please do not come back and say it isnt, has nothing to do with us, why should we bare the burden?

Thanks to people that make positive comments?

So are my comments negative?

gsf never ask for my card so all is well.

heres an idea, why dont you go and ask them? because i know the response is down to how the forum is run!

I'd be cancelling my membership too, if it wasnt for the GSF & A-Flux discount.

If DK wants to cancel his membership, it should be up to him, and it shouldn't be the hardest task in the world to do so. Dont see what the issue is there. Just because it's only £5, shouldnt make any differeence.

agreed, if Dan or anyone else wants to cancel their subscription then we can sort it out for them its not a problem I can see some of the points made, and how some people don't think that they get their moneys worth.

any money made by the club goes back into the club, and we always welcome suggestions, and comments both positive and negative, but when everything seems to be negative then its a bit disheartening, admin and mods are volunteers who care about the club thats all, and we try our best.

^^ fair point. But i am guessing that the mods are doing what they can to improve the forum, but with only £5 a year you cannot really expect alot. to be fair since I've been on here, there has only been about 3 times that i couldnt get on. But if i stopped and tried again after 10 mins it worked again, you just have to be patient! I'm not trying to kiss the mods arses, but we dont really thank them for what they have done, just moan about what they haven't. So ta very mooch!

I am trying to sort this with Dan right now. and get him his £5 back.

It doesn't matter how much money it is, you don't want to have to pay for some thing that you do not use or want.

As for the back log of membership stuff, that is all down to me. I never knew how much of my OWN FREE TIME it would take up. Just goes to show how much Steve gave up for the club. Kam is now on the case and doing a fantastic job in clearing the back log.

DK - fair enough you want to pass on your views, and fair enough your honest, but since I've been on here all you do is purposely spark arguements with people and take things too far.
