Is there anywhere where i can get temporary insurance being that i'm under 21? i could do with being insured on the missus' car when i go on holiday. all the sites i've looked at say i need to be 21 or over and have a full license for at least a year. when the time comes i'll be like a week off driving a year! and a week of 1 years NCB! *touch wood*

Can she not put you on her car insurance policy for a week?

I've added my mum onto mine for a set time when we went to Germany, they will charge you extra, but it won't be a huge amount as you'd only be on there for a week.

If need be, set up normal insurance and then cancel. Most give a 14 day clearance for cancelling.

Only problem with this would be the cost as there might be admin fees for cancelling plus the time on cover etc so could work out expensive.

Try to be put on the insurance as a temporary driver.

Theres not normally a cancel fee in the first 14 days. They give you time to cancel it if you want. I've done it a couple of times, worked out about £40 both times for a good few days.

Its either NFU or Zurich. Pretty sure its NFU though!

Tried NFU as i wanted to take a car to All Types @ Mallory Park this weekend .

You have to be a existing customer to Day insure with that company .

you can get pay as u go insurance with ecar.com, and cancel it after a month without any charges plus you dont have to pay a deposit.

Rang them up and you need to have an existing policy with them .
