I was stuck at 40mph in 2nd last time I was out on some inclines...makes you feel a little pathetic. Just need to take a good run up, I made the mistake of stopping at the bottom for pictures. Need to get the G40 engine in, Imrie's car EATS slopes.

Got a name/number for that road?

Its good fun going down the hill lol Its like having another 30bhp!

The road is A635 / Holmfirth Road its 7 miles long. But doesnt take googles estimated 9 minutes

Might have to visit it some time. Here's the road I posted up from points A to B. 22mins is prob. right if you were driving swiftly...some bits its difficult to get out of 2nd : B to C to D is the long way home...also known as the right way home!

Looks bendy even on google map. Theres a few turn offs on that road i go which look fun so will explore next week. Going to try and get an onboard video up too!

Yeah Del and I made a camera mount for the rear parcel shelf from MDF...just a basic box structure bolted to the shelf. Camera sits on top of that. Will get it out and make a wee video in the next week, just need to fit my hand brake cable on Friday to get the car road worthy again.

Theres a part on that road where you go down a steep hill and theres purhaps only a few metres before your going back up. Doing that at 80 takes the wind out of you lol.

Cheers guys. Set up a tripod in the back of the car when I went back home once last year. Took about 200 pics all the way down, got some really nice long exposure shots when it was dark and on the motorway. I keep meaning to edit them all together as a flash movie but just haven't had the time.

Got the mk2 up here with me ai. Really want to make it to a Scottish meet but seems whenever they are I seem to be doing something

I've done this route a couple of times, its not really the most challenging or exciting route, but living in the city sometimes you just need to get out into the 'sticks'!

After being sat in and general city traffic the 1st stretch of decent road appears,welcomed by a big NSL sign :) There's a few twisties to get you going and before you know it you're in what seems like wide open country side, really scenic. The return route from Innerleithen is just wider than a single track for the 1st 6 miles or so, its pretty open though so quite enjoyable, most of this is through a valley (infact my downpipe sheared clean off at the manifold here. back pressure FTW!) the road then climbs and goes into 2 lanes, the 1st pic was taken at the top of the ascent (not a big one I'm afraid) then some more nice twisties followed by a ridiculously long straight section :) I'm sure there's better roads around here but this one was the 1st I drove when I moved up here.

I just go on google map looks for some bendy long lines, with no towns and head up. Thats exactly what i did with the peak district and its a right scream up there.

Will most probly head up scotland this year for the roads.
