Right i'm in a pickle, I got the car a few months ago now, and it needs new tyres, but, it seems to have wheel locking nuts.

I don't have the key so how the feck do you get them out?

There's various tools and methods, but the best bet is to have a look round the car in all the daft places that you might put something to keep it safe, it's probably there somewhere.

take it to the tyre shop, thye will kno how to do it.

iv heard of people hammering sockets onto them, but dont take my word for it.

There's an extremely quick and easy way of doing this. Takes about five seconds to loosen one. Wouldn't be a good idea for me to say in public though,would it? Sorry.. :grin:

when my mate did this we hammered sockets on and used an ipact wrench....

took a while and a few damaged sockets, but it worked

Are the nuts down inside the wheel at all or do they stick out over the surface?

yer if they stick out over the serface of the wheel then you could get some grips on them dependant on the surface

I have a snap-on locking wheel nut removal set depending on the type of locking nut its a doddle 2 remove them

yeah locking wheel removal sockets

can buy em from halfords and there guna be cheaper than snap-on....the threads opposite way round so wind em on and the nut comes off.

garages have another tool aswell that molds its self to the socket...like metal pins init, good point to this is that it dunt destroy the nut making it harder to work with lol
