hey managed to wash and polish the car this morning.. (first time polishing and tbh i dont notice the difference but new cars are always shiny anyway right?? lol)

taking her to body shop tomorrow to book in getting the crappy bumper respray fixed! and asking how much itl cost to have the mirrors top half colour coded (anyone whos a dab hand at photoshop could see what it looks like lol)

I know she isnt low yet but june 28th when i leave crappy zurich and get with a cooler insurer the KW's will go on asap!!

I don't need a splitter at all, it'll look odd colour coded when theres clearly a black line along the bottom of my car. It's either full kit or nothing imo.

Colour match is probably a bit better than the paintshop that did the splitter!!!

ha cheeky sod! I've been to the garage today and theyve taken one of my jaking points to send away and get some paint made up... hopefully shall be fixed at the beginning of june and if they do it well mirrors will be done too cheers jay i dont like the lights lol they're gonna be smoked and side repeaters i suppose to match x

Yesterday I was a victim of a hit and run (supposed drunk driver) and am awaiting the results of a police investigation to see if they can find the culprit...

story goes as... i was driving the children i nanny home but i was sat waiting at some traffic lights, a guy in a silver 07 vauxhall astra with no front bumper pulled out couldnt drive for shit swung round and drove straight into the side of me at which he continued to drag his car along the drivers side of mine before speeding off! here is the damage, i have witness and the police are investigating but i dont hold out much hope as we only got the first 4 digits of his plate.

I cant go through insurance as my excess is so stupidly high and il loose my almost 4 years no claims, got a friend in the police keeping his eye on the case and trying his hardest to trace the vehicle.

Gave the car a really good scrub to get the rubber off the skirt, the bump strip has been snapped and damaged which is what some of the black stuff is and I've also managed to get a bit of the guys paint off my car but damage is still horrible, front wing dented, scratched, door paint taken off, dented, rear wing also dented by the arch, skirt scratced up badly, also a long scratch about 15cm above the bump strip which runs fron the front arch to the rear arch :(

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo that sucks majorrrrrly! it seems ironic as things like this happen when you are booked in for body work... my mate rang me up and said "do you know what irony is?... when you go to the post office after a year of court cases to pay the cheque in you won off an uninsured driver crashing into you and whilst driving out some guy in a similar van does exactly the same thing!" shame

Such a shame.

I hope the Police manage to find who did that to you. Must have been a terrible experience though.

tbh mate is was a blurr all i remember is watchin him come towards me and next I'm snapped out of my day dream by my wing mirror smacking against my window! thankfully i had 2 witness who did all they could to help but i just felt sorry for the 2 kids in the back of my car at the time!!! proper gutted tho I'm just so jinxed!!

I had the same happen to my polo, but luckily just the rear quarter, found out who'd done it though! So those pics bring back bad memories.

Sure you'll get it sorted and they'll have to spray the whole side so colour match shouldn't really be a problem.

Similar thing happened to my bros 1 week old E30 325 Touring. Someone smashed the rear quarter to fuck and then did one late at night. Rear genuine M-Tech 2 rear bumper smashed in half and steering hammered as well coz it was parked with wheels facing the curb. Well gay.

Hope it gets sorted.
