Nice little Polo, remove door rub strips and slam it to the floor.... plan?

Ta very much.

Living around here you need them, had someones kid slam a volvo's door into it the other day luckyenough he hit the door handle guards and did a lot of damage to the volvos door (bent back the lip), but the parents attitude was "so what its an old car", but i had the last laugh as the door wouldnt shut on the volvo.

Currently have finished everything, but due to my work, lowering it is not a good idea as the country roads and dirt track i travel along would cause serious problems.

Stage 2 will be replacing the exhaust system manifold back, but i want something that look cosmetically standard and generally quiet as my indction kit sounds almost like an active exhaust system as it is, silent while cruising, noisy as hell at full throttle. The breadmaker can testify how loud it sounds.

Clocks work then?

Clocks work then?

Like a dream, bulb on the clock blew when i plugged it in so replaced it with an LED version, the green back glow goes well with blue clock display.

Was a shock how easy they were to replace and even the way to swap the speedo's to change the milage.

None of this dismantling of the whole dash etc just to change a bulb.

Update: G40 alternator, headlamps replaced due to previous owner fucking up the adjusters and stone crack in lens, Voltage Stabalizer, plugs, oil gauge has now dissaperd due to leaking pipe + while looking through my old KIA's hand book file, i found a RAC card holder that they used during the early 90's and decided it had to go on.

Mini update

Glad you got the grille mate good luck with getting hold of some hids/new lenses.

How have u wired the lights up?

at first i piggybacked the wires onto each headlight's main beam but i have now earthed the cables to the earthing points in the engine bay and they're so much brighter!

Grill looks good 8-)

Still gotta sort the direction of mine, they are all over the place haha, headlights are too. people keep putting full beam on at me thinking I've got full on lmao, they soon shut up when I actually put full beam on pmsl.

Pikey wiring FTW

hey looking good , another welsh man

ps we do meets local ish in wales

My lamps are earthed to a Common line i fitted across the front for the fogs that earthed either side and have there own feed from the battery but switch on with the headlights.

Decided to keep the H2 bulbs for now, but have got HID's in my foglamps and a set of them on the way for my headlamps. I had one bloke fail to dip coming towards me and i hit the headlights, poor bastard must have been seeing stars for hours.

My headlights were just fitted into place when i got them and i fiddled with the adjustment and it still passed the mot.

Frauds: when you say localish remeber I'm on the west coast. lol

Future changes are: 40mm drop.

Update^^^^

Good work mate

Are you keeping the door strips?

  • Author

Door strips staying at the moment, due to the severity of the salt on the roads around here it has caused rust spots to appear along the drivers door below the strip so dreaded tin worm may mean 2 tone silver car, seen the shade i want to do the area below my strips, almost looks as if the car has a permanent spot lamp over it. lol
