Interior completed...back from re-trimmers

Featured Replies

Just pick up my front door cards from the re-trimmers this morning, got my rears last weekend but been waiting until i had it all before i posted pics up.

Got the rest done in the end, had the seats trimmed for ages!!

I'm well pleased with the finished result.

Next plans are to get pillar trims re-trimmed in leather & headlining in suede :-D

mmm, nice. is this a 6n then? if so where doid you find out about taht door opening light  is it just wired into the door opening light system thing like the interior light? i quite like that idea

rough price if u dnt mind plz seems i was meant to be picking leather up tomorrow and the guys changed his mind :(

Gorgeous interior! Looks very smart with the leather and suede combo, and the VW logo just finishes it off.

What seats were the front ones originally? I would say Golf GTi mk3, but the headrests look different, and the bolsters look beefyer lol.

the seats were originally from a seat ibiza cupra gti, the headrests had to be modified as they had the hole in the middle & didnt come apart. so they were filled & trimmed accoridngly

the courtesy light is always something i had in mind when i was saving for the re-trim

it was done by goldsmith upholstery, a bloke & his wife that happen to work just round the corner from me. they do alot of work for mazda

Thats nice mate love it, alot more than my full leathers for £50 then haha :ninja: hide your speaker wire though man!

haha!! i know man, i gotta drill a hole a feed it through. 1 step at a time :-D

Feed it through the rubber pipe type thing that goes from the door 2 the body its a tight fit but it works

god i soo need them interior light sin my life haha they are pimp, and the leathers too mate love them aswell

I like this, also goes perfect with your sitting room or wherever you took the first few pics lol. Maybe have your boot floor panelled in the same wood!! :)

I hope you didn't pay to much cause to be quite honest thats a very poor quality trim! The edges are all rough as hell and look how crinkled the leather is on the top of the door card!!

My trims about 7 years old and it doesn't look that rough.

I mean look at the edge of the car, its not even round, its a load of short straight edges.

Personally I'd be taking it back and saying do it properly or get a refund on it and go else where.

harsh words or good advice?

matter of perspective i guess

looks nice but as heartagram said, perhaps a little rough

Well the only reason I say it is because a good mate of mine got his trim done and I was in awe over how good it look. The leather was so nice and tightly wrapped around the seats, the seams were perfect, it just looks really really smart! Another lad I know got his done and it was the same and mines pretty good to. Compared to the 3 I've seen close up and had a good inspection of (as such) this trim doesn't really cut the mustard imo.

There was a trimmer guy on Club Lupo saying theres a lot of cowboy trimmers out there who can trim but not to a very high standard.

End of the day, if he paid however much he did and hes happy with it then theres no harm done. But in my opinion the trim isn't as good quality as I'd expect from say it cost "too much".

If it was done to a higher standard it would definitely be a gorgeous trim!

opinions are welcome & i appreciate the honesty

but i am happy with it

just wanted to show everyone & put it out there so you can all see

Looks nice but i can see after a few months of use where you can see a lot of sagging and crinkled leather its only going to get worse.

but if you are happy! still looks good
