Just need some advice really.

Me and my mate are going to put in new shocks and springs in a week or so and i would just like to know would 60mm be too low? like will i start bottoming out and stuff.

ground clearance youll be fine at 60, but it depends on what size/width/offset your wheels are obviously.

i thought you could lower 6n's by like 110mm and still use em as a daily

And yes some 6n's on here are 120 and used daily.. And foxie on that note.. there are some kick ass bumps over near your GF'splace how the hell do u clear them?

I do a good 70 - 80 miles a day with my car all the way down on coilovers. Which should be close to 110mm. Its no problem at all.

When I had my car down just around 60mil though I found it handled better and gave a better ride. So I'd say 60 would be spot on.

I'm just stupid and sacrificed performance for looks :)

60mm is better than 40!!

i got mine down 75 on front and 60 rear on 195-45-15's offset 35mm i use it daily and have no rubbing unless you hit a bump quickly, lol

look into saving up for a set of coilovers......that is one thing i regret not doing, much rather have a choice on height!!

60mm should be ok. Much lower and it's going to rub and make it undriveable. I'd rather have a car with a 1 cm arch gap that handles than one with a -1 cm arch gap that is undriveable

I'm at 60mm I do get the odd rub off the arches on big bumpy roads. any lower for me and she'd easy bottom out on the roads I have to travel. I'm also running 195-45-15 et35 I think wolfrace voodoo2.

As I said before my car is down close to 110mm probably (actually while I'm here if some standard height Mk4 owner would like to measure the ride height of their car so i can compare mine that would be brill ) and I've had a car full of people and still no rubbing or scraping!

Mine is 60mm all round and its fine with two people. If I have a rear passenger then the rears rub over dumps.

Just lowered the rear but forgot to take measurements i do have before and after pics tho i will post them tomorrow once the whole car is complete.

Going to head down to eurocarparts and get new bearings :-D

Oh yea and there is somthing a little tense about having a compressed spring between you are legs while you rebuild the strut haha.

Well if you know how much you have dropped by then just measure your car once its settled down after a few days and I should be able to work out mine for that.

Unless some other kind soul wants to measure their standard height Mk4 for me :)
