I've bought my plate so the assignment fee has been paid etc

i dont understand what exactly i need to send off

my v5

MOT

and it says the tax disc aswel, except it says that doesnt need to be sent off with the form

would photocopies of the documents be sufficient? i dont really wanna send off the originals

if anybody could help and make things a bit clearer id appreciate it very mch 8-):thumbsup:

fair enough, i just thought that the big bad dvla computer should know all of the stuff anyway

Yeah but think about you would then have two v5's for the same car with two different reg numbers

you send off the original MOT, you write down the tax serial number and keep that in your car!!!

just look on dvla website and its all there with the forms to download

Yeah, you send your logbook and MOT in for new ones to be issued. They send you a new logbook, MOT and tax disc back. You change the plates and send your old tax in.

Keep a photocopy of the logbook and MOT just in case something goes missing, or to help things if you get a producer in the meantime.
