my new mk3PoloGT - daytime pics added

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I bought a new toy at the weekend (hence the sale of my mk2 to be found in the for sale section - PLUG!) and its a lovely black mk3 polo coupe GT! I have just run outside to take a couple of pics with the last of my battery on my camera as i want to show you ALL! I dont really know a lot about them but i do know that they are bloody fun!

i do also have a couple of questions, such as...why does my clutch bite so low? does that mean that my clutch needs replacing (it was done apparently the night before i picked it up) or is it just a typical GT trait?

Thepics weretakenat very late dusk(it is now pitch black!) also, excuse the lackof the 'P'onthe PoloGTbadge on theback...theboyfriendcleanedmycar on sunday and it fell off! Aaarrggh!

looks clean from the pics, black is by far the best colour ever 8-)

^^ WHITE IS THe WAY FORWARD! everyone knows that  and it definatly looks clean though. and gotta' agree black is still nice.

My old GT had a mega low biting point on my clutch. More fun tho.

I've always wanted a black GT, looks quite tidy too

thanks guys...reallyappreciate the good comments...yeah she is pretty straight - a couple of door dinks and the door has been rattle can sprayed (more blown in) but shes solid! passed an MOT the day b4 i picked her up so shes all good! I'm looking for quotes to get it resprayed though...would love to take it back to its original glory! In black obviously, i have a thing about black cars...my first mk2 was black too - something about the feeling it gives you when your driving it. hehe

yeah the low biting point defo makes it fun, when i picked it up tho it took a while for me to get used to it...i kept stalling it!

its just fun now although it sometimes catches me out but then I've only had it 5 days!

WHITE is the way forward, but someone has to buy the black ones

looks cool that, pics in day please!

my last polo was meant to be red but has obviously ended up orange....you can see in the pics above!

red is hard work as it does fade very easily and i dont think id be prepared for that much work but black is hard work too but i just love the look of it when it is looking its best.....

ill check out the clutch cable too....cheers dude

tornado pink ftw!

I'm sticking with Neil on this 1 ...

Its fun cleaning a black car .. They come up like a mirror ..! Here is what i did to charlies roof .. mildly clean not done properly .. still better than white though !

Annoying for slight imperfections however ..

Worse than white ..

You GT looks niceeee... You should get soem bette piccys up ..

White FTW

Dont get me wrong, i do like White cars...they run the risk of going a more creamy colour but i have helped by boyfriend 3stage polish his white Vento and you do get a real sense of satisfaction but black is more my thing - its harder to get swirls and imperfections out but looks hot as when its spot on! lol

I need to get mine resprayed - start a fresh!

more pics - shes filthy and I've had a bloody cat saton my bonnet outside the flat! AAARGGHH!
